Recipe: apple & cinnamon oatmeal

This weekend I came up with this warm and delicious cinnamon and apple oatmeal recipe that Jonas asked me to make for him again on sunday 🙂 I love this combination of apple and cinnamon a lot! Especially during the cold winter months. This recipe is quite easy and only takes about 10 minutes:) I hope you try it out!:)

Recipe (makes 2 portions)


1 cup porridge oats

1.5 cups of milk

.5 cups water

1/4 cup raisins

1 diced apple

1.5 tbsp ground cinnamon


1. Dice apple and place in a pot along with the raisins. Add water and let this mixture come up to a boil and let it cook for about 2 minutes.

2. Add oats and milk to the raisin and apple mixture- cook on a low simmer for about 5 minutes.

3. Turn off heat and mix in cinnamon.

Benefits of the avocado

I love guacamole, but to be honest that’s the only avocado recipe that I’ve ever tried. I found the below infographic on Twitter a while ago and it reminded me all about the humble avocado.


I found so many fabulous new avocado recipes to try from this article on Buzzfeed, but the one I have to try first is Fudgy Avocado Brownies. Like fudge, and brownie, and avocado? In one recipe? I am so there…. I’m drooling already 😀
